Koumbie is a Halifax-based intimacy coordinator and choreographer working across film, television, and theatre. With over twenty years of experience as an actor, she approaches the work from a performer-first perspective—supporting scenes involving intimacy, nudity, and vulnerability with clarity, care, and collaboration.
Her IC screen credits include We Were Liars S1 (Amazon/NBC), Trailer Park Boys: Jail Series S2, The Trades S1, and There, There, alongside upcoming work on Seth Smith's feature film Permanent Damage and We Were Liars S2. Her theatre work includes collaborations with Neptune Theatre, Shakespeare by the Sea, and Villains Theatre.
Koumbie has trained extensively with organizations including Intimacy Coordinators Canada (ICC), Intimacy Directors and Coordinators (IDC), Theatrical Intimacy Education (TIE), and the Intimacy Professionals Association (IPA), alongside certifications in trauma-informed practice, mental health first aid, and anti-bias facilitation. Her work balances supporting a director’s vision with protecting performers’ boundaries.
In addition to intimacy coordination, Koumbie is a director and public speaker, and an advocate for more equitable, care-based practices in the arts.
